About maggie henderson counselling
Compassionate Support
As an integrative counsellor, I’m committed to supporting individuals through life’s challenges, whether big or small.
I work with adults, young people and children, and I tailor my approach to suit each person and what they need. Everyone is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to counselling.
I’m not here to tell you what to do or give you all the answers. Instead, I’ll walk alongside you, give you the space to talk things through and make sense of what you’re going through so you can find your own way forward. Together, we can work towards greater clarity, confidence and resilience.
I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, without worrying about being judged or having to say the “right” thing. My aim is to offer a warm, supportive space where you feel listened to and understood. Together, we can explore what’s going on for you and work towards the changes and goals that feel right for you.
As well as working with all age groups in Peebles I also volunteer at a counselling centre in Edinburgh, working solely with children, teenagers and young people. By creating a safe and supportive environment I help them explore their emotions and challenges. I love guiding and seeing them build resilience and develop coping strategies that will help them throughout their lives.
I know that considering counselling can feel intimidating and it’s completely normal to wonder if it’s the right step for you. If you have any questions or are unsure about the process, you may find helpful information in the FAQ section. I'm more than happy to chat and answer any concerns you might have either by email or on the phone, you can contact me using the contact form.
As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I’m committed to providing professional and ethical care.
